The space-time continuum has captivated those with even a slight intrigue in how the universe functions. While I might not fully grasp it all, I’m fascinated by films that tinker with this idea, like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Interstellar, Edge of Tomorrow, and many others exploring time travel. This concept can be applied to various aspects, beyond just movies; it can serve as inspiration for furniture, accessories, and more.

The Space-Time Transformation Lamp is one such creation influenced by this concept, showcasing the notion of an object navigating through, well, space and time. Its basic design is actually a modular kit that you can put together yourself, which allows you to modify the size, shape, color, and even the brightness of the lamp. The components are crafted from laser-cut painted birch plywood, though you could also request different materials for customization.
Each frame of the lamp is slightly twisted, multiplied 10 times, and glued together. Some of the frames are connected differently to the central cube while the top frame is easily removable for accessing the light bulb inside. The core is encased in translucent white plastic with the little light bulb right in the middle.
Due to the lamp’s unique design, light is emitted in various directions, thereby creating a space-time continuum effect. It’s more of a decorative kind of lighting since the light is diffused and not entirely practical, but it’s still an intriguing piece overall.
