This year, the spotlight was on the iPhone App and Game of the Year. Kino, created by Lux Optics Inc., snagged the App of the Year award for its sophisticated photography tools that let users create cinematic stories at their fingertips. With its professional-grade, film-like filters combined with easy controls, Kino lets creators of every level elevate their visual stories. I also use this app and I must say, it’s fantastic in how it marries professional features with user-friendliness.
The Apple TV App of the Year honor went to F1 TV by Formula One Digital Media Limited. This app brings the excitement of Formula 1 racing right to fans, with live broadcasts, thorough analyses, and exclusive content for a one-of-a-kind viewing experience. My daughter and I are huge F1 fans, and this app has completely transformed how we connect with the sport. We can dive deep into races, get to know the drivers’ journeys, and easily revisit past seasons, which makes it a must-have for our Formula 1 adventures.
On the gaming side, AFK Journey by Farlight Games was named the iPhone Game of the Year. This game combines thrilling tactical gameplay with engrossing storylines, drawing players into exciting adventures that unfold seamlessly across mobile platforms.
