The action buttons, directional pad, and magnetic Hall effect joysticks are all positioned close to one another. This design is so that ergonomic considerations are made without losing clarity of the gaming inputs, especially when multiple buttons or joysticks are used at once. Additionally, 8BitDo has incorporated Hall effect triggers on the back, with slightly smaller shoulder buttons.
