French startup KILOW hit the news a couple of years ago with its two-seater La Bagnole electric UTV that embraced a classic Willys Jeep vibe. This has sparked another cool concept by an independent designer who imagines the Le Buddy, a single-seater buggy-styled commuter perfect for rides between cities. The vehicle packs the technical ability of CIXI, a brand renowned for its electric cranksets.
The bicycle-car hybrid is built with an outdoor lifestyle in mind, making it suitable for both the city and gravel trips to the outskirts if necessary. The main purpose of this vehicle is for hauling light cargo, making it a great fit for beginners.

This eco-friendly rural mobility vehicle is also a fantastic option for folks who don’t want to invest in a bulky ride since their needs aren’t that vast. When the single-seater four-wheeler isn’t hauling everyday stuff, it’s compact, which makes it an ideal choice for quick errands. Weighing just 85 kg, it comes packed with two 800Wh batteries, providing up to 90 km of range. It can reach a top speed of 70 km/h, which is pretty decent for a vehicle intended for city and rural travel.
What really makes it stand out is the chainless electronic crankset, which gives users a smooth mobility experience without having to deal with gear shifting in stop-and-go city traffic. The tires are a bit on the thinner side, meaning stability could be problematic on twisting roads or hills, but there’s always room for aftermarket enhancements. At the back, you’ll find a wooden cargo box, which is great for carrying medium-sized items. Although not the best choice in bad weather, this vehicle shines in regions with minimal rain or snow.
