Modern Tiny Living has crafted a custom tiny home dubbed Serenity. This tiny house boasts a remarkably innovative layout that truly deserves recognition. The builder has essentially fashioned a mansion on wheels, pushing the boundaries of micro-home living. It acts as a comfortable dwelling and a dream haven for its owner, who desired an adventurers’ hideaway that included a home office. Serenity successfully combines cozy living with a private workspace and even an outdoor shower – making it a distinctive and well-equipped living space. It provides both the benefits of a mobile tiny home and the comfort of a premium residence suitable for full-time living.
Design: Modern Tiny Living
The tiny home has a generous length of 28 feet; while it may not be super tiny, its size is still manageable. It’s a customized and adjusted version of MLT’s original Point model, with an added eight feet, giving it a roomy feel. There’s also an additional storage unit at the back, enhancing its overall appearance, while an arched front supports a custom-built elevated social space. The house has a single loft bedroom featuring a king-sized bed framed by large windows. Access to the bedroom is via a sturdy staircase with wide treads and a full-size handrail, plus there’s a safety railing attached to it.
The bedroom also has a small door that opens to a narrow corridor above the home office, which is a rather interesting and unusual feature. The home office comes with a concrete desk and ample storage options, including built-in shelves. You can enter the office from either inside or outside. On the other side of the home, there is an elevated social area that serves multiple functions: a seating arrangement, a guest bed, and storage. This unique design also includes a row of windows which offer stunning views.
This social area can easily host several people and includes roomy drawers around its perimeter. There’s also some sub-floor storage in the center. A built-in bookcase enhances the storage options. The sofa can transform into a guest bed if needed. The kitchen itself is quite spacious, featuring a premium concrete countertop that doubles as a modern snack bar. There’s generous storage in the form of cabinets, drawers, and overhead compartments, as well as room for full-sized appliances. Priced at around $105,000 five years prior, this mobile mansion exemplifies how smart customization can elevate an average tiny home into a luxury residence.
