The future of mobility will be centered around protecting the environment while addressing the ever-changing commuting needs of city residents. Numerous personal mobility concepts and prototypes have appeared that look at what vehicles might like in a decade. We can expect a similar shift in public transport with the innovations of new technologies reshaping how we navigate through metropolitan areas.

Introducing TREO, a unique sustainable transport system designed specifically for future rewilded cities, thoughtfully interwoven with green urban environments. This concept is adaptable as both a personal commuter and a suspended transport module, allowing it to connect with other TREO vehicles. Basically, it’s a single-module vehicle that can take you to the city centre for short distances, then seamlessly transition into automated transport mode to get you even further.

The aerodynamic single-person module can attain speeds of up to 25 km/h and offers multidirectional movement on flat surfaces. The rear of this module has a suspension link to connect to the lifting mechanism for when switching modes is necessary. In ground mode, the rider enjoys a semi-automated travel experience, while in suspended mode, the steering wheel retracts, the HUD changes into an entertainment center, and the seats fold back into a circular formation for a relaxed journey. Most of TREO’s structure is crafted from 3D-printed materials, keeping the weight minimal and enabling multimodular movement to suit individual needs. The spherical tires come with individual motors, allowing for omnidirectional wheels.

This vehicle blends organic ‘U’ shapes with sharp lines, creating a unique aesthetic. The spacious interior allows for a 180-degree view, ensuring the rider can fully appreciate their surroundings on the journey home. Ultimately, this visionary mode of transport is geared towards cities that have the necessary infrastructure in place, emphasizing a better quality of life for their inhabitants.
