I once lived with a person who had epilepsy and it was quite challenging for all of us to know what to do when an attack happened. Over time we got used to it and learned emergency protocols but back then, we had no clue when it might strike. Nowadays, there are new tools available to assist those living with seizures, and as technology progresses, we can look forward to even more innovative solutions.

The Zero Earbuds and Glasses concept, designed for SK Biopham, serve as wearable devices that assist patients with epilepsy in monitoring their seizures while fitting smoothly into their daily lives. Both products are designed to be discreet, so they neatly mesh with individuals’ lifestyles, and ergonomically, they won’t disrupt their regular activities.
The Zero Glasses are also designed to help mitigate chronic anxiety that comes with having epilepsy, particularly due to the unexpected nature of their seizures. These glasses can track brain activity, heart rhythms, and body movements—common indicators of an upcoming seizure. The magnetic connectors on the temples discreetly link to a sensor pad, and the product even includes a charging case with an adjustable angle camera that can capture moments during a seizure.
On the other hand, the ZERO Earbuds are another wearable device engineered to measure similar metrics. They are styled to look like ordinary earbuds or hearing aids. The ear hooks are adjustable, and the magnetic connectors make it easy to connect the sensor pads. Additionally, they’re subtle enough that users won’t feel embarrassed to wear ’em, just like the glasses.
